The main laundry care symbols at a glance

Laundry care symbols are attached by the manufacturers to the laundry to identify the recommended cleaning, drying and trowel-type.

	washing in the washing machine (with the specified temperature, e.g. 60 °C)		balk under the washtub: easy care or delicate cycle (with the specified temperature, e.g. 40 °C)
	double balk: delicate washing - just fine or delicate cycle (with the specified temperature, e.g. 30 °C)		only hand wash (cold or warm)
	only cold wash		not for self washing
It does not exist a separate care symbol for spin-dryer. Please look at the wash-symbol. Is there for example a balk under the washtub (means gentle washing), please use the spin-dryer only at low speed. For very delicate laundry (e.g. silk, wool) for which hand wash is usually, the spin-dryer can not be used.
